Highlights

  • The Hyundai Exter, turning three this July, is expected to get a mid-life facelift
  • Sales haven't matched rivals like the Tata Punch, prompting the design and feature update

The Hyundai Exter, turning three this July, is set for a mid-life facelift, with sales not having matched rivals like the Tata Punch — prompting Hyundai to update the design and features to make it more appealing. On the outside, the facelift could include a new front grille, updated graphics in the split headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels and redesigned bumpers.

Inside, the SUV may get ventilated front seats, a new infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a rear USB Type-C charging port — feature additions aimed squarely at closing the gap with segment leaders rather than repositioning the car entirely.

We'll update this piece with confirmed launch timing and full specifications once Hyundai makes an official announcement.
