Nissan will launch the Tekton in India on July 9, with pricing expected to land close to the Renault Duster, roughly between ₹10.49 lakh and ₹18.69 lakh for the top turbo-petrol variant. Sharing a platform with the Duster under the Renault-Nissan Alliance keeps development costs down while giving Nissan a genuinely competitive mid-size SUV entry.
Nissan has struggled to build sustained SUV momentum in India despite strong global SUV credentials, and the Tekton represents another attempt to translate alliance platform-sharing into a locally relevant, competitively priced product.
